Why Did Newtown Happen?
It is really sad to hear about the tragic killing of innocent children at the Newtown CT School. I hear everyone ask why and how someone could do such a heinous thing. Some are quick to blame it on the guns because they just want to keep overlooking a larger systemic problem that WE have created in our society.
Over the last 40 years we have removed God from our schools and public arena’s and most of our social society. We have stopped praying in public places. We have removed the 10 commandments from public places. We have stopped corporal punishment therefore we don’t spank or punish children anymore (at home or at school). We have closed down our mental institutions and put those people out in the street and now we just write them off as being part of the homeless population.
We have raised several generations of children without God and they don’t have any moral compass and they don’t fear any kind of punishment for their actions. They don’t believe in God and they don’t believe there is any final judgment. They don’t believe in Heaven or Hell and we let them play mindless video games or watch violent immoral movies that teach them that killing is just a game.
The normal these days is to live together rather than marry and just have more babies, in most cases its babies having babies. For the people that get married the divorce rate is extremely high. Gay marriage is being legalized all over the country. The institution of family has been destroyed and we are paying the price for our sinful foolishness. Without the bedrock of God’s teachings we have raised up a generation of reprobates.
Some will blame it on the guns. Some will blame it on the School. Some will blame it on the Mother. Some will blame it on some medicine. Some will blame it on bullies. Some will blame the mental health system. We are in the age of blame and until we as a society point the finger right back at ourselves and realize our mistakes by letting God’s foundation for all civil society be removed from the souls of our children; we are doomed for more senseless killings. The politicians can’t write laws to stop this and don’t believe their lies when they say they can. Until we change the hearts and minds of this generation through Jesus Christ, the senseless acts will never end, they will just increase.
I pray that God will reach down and comfort those that have lost their little children in the senseless killing and I hope and pray that the adults that were killed knew Jesus.
