Story behind the song
This song topped the SoundClick charts at #7 for Guitar Rock and it's rights are for sale by HereX Entertainment Group. This song started in my Isle 6 days when we played a gig at M&S Harley Davidson in Chambersburg PA and I was going through a divorce. My gf at that time was wavering and I was completely destroyed. I stood there in the showroom just staring at those iron horses thinking about how free it'd feel to be riding away from all the shit going on in my life. Over the years, “being free from her memory” lyrics stuck out in my head. Long story short, I saddled up and road that b!tch for 10 more years, right into the next blond heartache. Hell it was my road and it was paved by me. But in the end there is no freedom unless left alone. And so that's what I did. I ended my ride and live alone. Free... still trying to get away from her memory. But I still see her eyes when I close mine. She had eyes that had that ambient glow to them, much like a whiskey bottle in front of a long winters night fire or the glow of my Marshall amp on 11. She was hot and she was my addiction! Many years later setting at the piano, alone and still heartbroken by a million more failed relationships that all seem to fade in and out as the same, I penned the words, “heart broke & ridding, living and dying”. And that is when the rest of the song started coming to me. Life is funny that way you know.
