Gary suggested we do Fame after we'd finished Rebel Rebel, which we did (an Industrial version - heavy MIX) but I thought there could (or should) be a funky version as well so Bruce and myself set about doing that.
the song that went #1 for Bowie in the US, got him a co-write with JL and put the PH back into Funky for sure...we've done two versions, Funky mix and Heavy mix (leaning to industrial) - Bowie's borderless policies when it came to genres helps to literally mix these songs up.
