A rock ballad about love and loss, and missing someone.
This song was originally conceived last year as a rock power ballad, but Suno's early attempts turned out terrible, so I first made it into a country song and it worked really well like that. After Suno came out with the 4.5 version of its algorithm, I revisited the idea of a rock version, and this time it came out sounding so good that I created a virtual persona in the Suno algorithm and built a whole album of songs in the same style in one night, that became The Last-Minute Rock Album.
Late at night, city streets, feeling blue
Memories of you, they still ring true
Longing heart, in the midnight glow
Waiting for a love that will never show
Still holding out for you, in the pouring rain
Heartache and longing, driving me insane
Dreaming of a love that never came true
Still holding out for you
Through the years, the pain remains
But I still hope, despite the chains
In the shadows, where our love once gleamed
I'm still holding on to the dream
Broken promises, shattered dreams, all in vain
But in my heart, you still remain.
Time moves on, but my love stands still
Waiting for you, against my will
Still holdin' out for you
Still holding out for you, in the pouring rain
Heartache and longing, driving me insane
Dreaming of a love that never came true
Still holding out for you
Still holding out for you, in the pouring rain
Heartache and longing, driving me insane
Dreaming of a love that never came true
Still holding out for you
