Composed, performed, produced by Bob Forbes.
A silent moment arises,
And they seem to come frequently.
Her eyes drift to the window,
Lost in thoughts, about her and me.
We shared the night on the town,
Talked until the sun went down.
But now it's just lonely silence,
Seems love is lost, though I'm still around.
What can she say?
When her heart wants to speak,
But the words just fade away,
Like memories of a dream,
What can she say?
What can she say when her love feels so deep,
But the courage goes astray,
And we're caught in a pause,
What can she say?
Remember our late-night drives?
Laughing aloud in the dark,
With the radio playing low,
We'd just sit, with the car parked.
I traced the way we were,
With every mile we drove,
Hoping she'd lean close again,
And tell me that she's still in love.
What can she say?
When her heart wants to speak,
But the words just fade away,
Like memories of a dream,
What can she say?
What can she say when her love feels so deep,
But the courage goes astray,
And we're caught in a pause,
What can she say?
